Mycroft

So as bonkers as it sounds in this day and age, I'm very much willing to go Google-free. I use their smart devices, their phones, and email. I'm very much tied up in the product, but I can't help but feel a sense of dread when I say "I'm the product" So I want to cut the chain. The biggest thing, email, is just keeping track of where I've used what and how to switch it over.

Over the next few weeks, I'll try and compile a set of accounts to switch over and see if I haven't missed anything. Then I'll try and replace my google assistant with Mycroft, the open source version capable of being run on a raspberry pi. Then if that works out, my phone to Graphene OS. Protonmail will pick up the hard part, also it'll let me use my custom domains for funny emails. And with that, I should be free.
