Further - A poem
A poem written in cut and pasted lettering, it reads, "Every day I'm further from my recovery. Ever day I'm reminded of how I used to be, how I lived, being a jerk and a total waste of space, how I lived, boozy and weedily, cigarettes always with haste, now I'm further from that, every day a step along the way. Sometimes I feel horrible, the side effects and general anxiety, but I'm always reminded at the end of a spell, I'm further from that, screaming at passing cars on the freeway, never being able to sleep right, always on edge. I'm further from that, it's over there.
